Types of HTE experiments include parallel synthesis; HTE for reaction discovery; and HTE for reaction optimization. This chapter focuses on HTE for reaction discovery and optimization. It addresses common misconceptions and key advantages of HTE as a technique in synthetic chemistry. The chapter discusses key considerations and practical resources for typical HTE workflows, which are geared toward synthetic chemists with little or no experience with this technique.
