Among these, electronic sensors based on graphene field-effect transistors (GFETs) are particularly desirable and widely explored. Reduced graphene oxide (rGO) is an extensively studied type of solution-processable graphene that holds great promise in thin-film transistor (TFT)-based biosensors. Compared to graphene obtained by mechanical exfoliation or chemical vapor deposition, rGO possesses remaining functional groups on its surface that facilitate easy functionalization and promote strong surface interactions with biological species, making it an ideal candidate for biosensing applications. This chapter aims to provide a systematic introduction to rGO-based TFTs for biosensing, including fabrication methods, detection principles, and figures of merit. The various detection species, such as proteins, metal ions, nucleic acids, small biomolecules, and living cells, will be elaborated upon." @default.
