- W4386516119 abstract "Academic facilities refer to the set of relationships between members of a school community that is determined by structural, personal, and functional factors of the educational institution, which provide distinctiveness to schools in the all-around development of children. Academic facilities are an important factor when evaluating student well-being. Academic facilities are a part of the school environment and previous findings have shown that variables such as infrastructural, instructional, and humanitarian dimensions of academic facilities influence students’ development. This research seeks to explain the relationship between academic facilities and the divergent thinking ability of senior secondary students. To carry out this research, a total of 457 senior secondary level students from various schools situated in the Tonk district of Rajasthan, India were selected through a simple random sampling technique. The instrument used to measure the relationship between academic facilities and divergent thinking was based on the self-constructed academic facility scale and thinking ability scale. The academic facility scale has five dimensions of academic facilities (Technical, Library, Teacher related, Physical, and Behavior related facilities) and the thinking ability scale has two parts – convergent thinking and divergent thinking. In this study, the divergent thinking only has been studied. The divergent thinking part of the tool has four dimensions (Fluency in Ideas, Elaboration of Ideas, Originality in ideas, and flexibility in ideas). Both the tools were duly standardized and the Cronbach’s alpha coefficients for the academic facility scale and thinking ability scale were found to be 0.86 and 0.89 respectively. The data collected through the research scales were analyzed using a multiple regression analysis at a 0.05 level of significance. Findings and suggestions have been discussed." @default.
