The goal of this research is to create a mobile application for branded makeup tools that uses QR codes to help customers filter their makeup based on their faces and skin tone using augmented reality. This is to assist and address old processes that cause inefficiency in the system of makeup sellers. Seeing as software applications are a growing industry, the study's goal is to provide an opportunity for both makeup sellers and customers to have fewer products to use as testers and use it contactless through the presence of mobile applications. Social implications by utilizing interactive technology, the brand can get closer to its customers and provide them with assistance and entertainment when they shop online. AR can also lead to future tool reuse behaviour, resulting in long-term consumer relationships. Furthermore, AR can be used with a mobile phone, which can be used at any time and from any location, eliminating space and time constraints. As a result, the brand can use inexpensive and extensive technology as a marketing strategy. It may also become one of the most widely used marketing tools. Originality/value This study fills a gap in the literature on mobile augmented reality technology in the beauty industry. Such knowledge will not only aid in the online development of brands but will also aid in the development of retailers in the beauty industry, providing the necessary capabilities for the expansion and application of this new technology. Furthermore, a systematic approach is used to identify processes that are interconnected and must be included in the mobile application.
