- W4386574080 abstract "Grain boundary diffusion can enhance the coercivity of NdFeB magnets with low consumption of heavy rare earths Dy/Tb. This work systematically studied the effects of diffusing TbH3 on the magnetic, corrosion and mechanical properties of NdFeB magnet. The results show that the remanence Br and maximum energy product (BH)max of magnets slightly decreased after diffusion, while coercivity increased from 14.47 kOe to 22.08 kOe with 0.20 wt.% Tb usage. The formation of Tb-rich shell and RE-(FeO) metallic-type grain boundary phases attribute to the enhancement of coercivity. The fracture and corrosion behavior of NdFeB magnet are discussed before and after diffusion. This study provides an experiment and theoretical basis for the industry fabrication of high-performance magnet with low heavy rare earth." @default.
