- W4386716682 abstract "This publication discusses how to deal with self-organizing systems that use artificial intelligence from a practical perspective. Instead of following the media narrative that humanity is in danger of losing control, this literature review reminds of existing research that could help to operationalize work with AI-based systems and thus contribute to the ongoing debate on regulation and standardization. The paper proposes an applied research approach for “human in command, which combines three main concepts: The approach ensures that humans can i) design together, ii) understand and predict the system behavior, and iii) control the boundaries of AI-based systems. In this collection, the findings from theoretical literature and aspects that can be made accessible in concrete case studies are clustered. This approach enables the reader to generate practical and usable methods for realizing teamwork situations of humans and machines in manufacturing applications. Furthermore, this analysis can help to derive the research gaps of theoretical concepts that are currently not operationalized." @default.
