- W4386899194 abstract "Recently, a large-share of intermittent/volatile distributed energy resources (DERs) to the utility grid has been promoted to combating climate change and achieve a net-zero carbon footprint. To uphold stability using conventional droop control is arduous for the network-based modern power system, recommending developing and deploying resilient frequency controllers. This paper presents a cyber-tolerant resilient nonlinear frequency controller for frequency regulation of a microgrid testbed. The unknown plant uncertainties and stealthy FDI cyber-attack are initially identified/estimated using a harmonic nonlinear disturbance observer (NDO). The global exponential stability of the suggested NDO has been guaranteed using Lyapunov/Barbalat's corollary. Subsequently, a cyber-tolerant fast terminal sliding-mode frequency control law having NDO integrated has been derived and applied to enhance system performance and resiliency. The efficacy of the designed controller has been demonstrated by quantitative analysis against stealthy FDI attacks and unknown plant uncertainties. Cyber-tolerance of the applied secondary controller against unknown inputs, plant uncertainties, and stealthy FDI attacks has been demonstrated through simulation analysis." @default.
