- W4387027463 abstract "To enhance the resilience of electricity supply in microgrids under extreme weather events, this paper proposes a resilient scheduling strategy for microgrid operation considering stochastic chance-constrained islanding capability. The islanding capability is quantified using the probability of successful islanding (PSI), which is the probability that a microgrid maintains enough spinning reserve (both up and down) to meet local demand and accommodate local renewable generation after instantaneously islanding from the main grid. Considering the probability distributions of forecast errors of wind, PV and loads as well as the possible tripping of distributed energy resources (DERs) during islanding process, the PSI is estimated by multi-interval approximation and reformulated in mixed-integer linear form. Based on it, the resilient scheduling of microgrids is formulated as mixed integer linear programming (MILP) with the objective of minimizing the total operating costs while ensuring user specified PSI. Numerical simulations on a microgrid test system demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed resilient scheduling strategy. The relationship between PSI and various factors has been verified." @default.
