- W4387203676 abstract "Endometriosis is a common gynecological disorder in which the endometrium is located outside the uterus. Two significant morbidities are frequently associated with this disease: infertility and chronic pelvic pain. Endometriosis is related to a combination of factors, including the immune system, environmental factors, and genetics. Complex pathogenesis is probably involved in the development of endometriosis. A pathophysiology has gained new insights due to the identification of uterine or extrauterine stem/progenitor cells in endometriosis. In addition, new insights have been gained into the normal physiology of the uterus. Such cells may contribute to developing several gynecological conditions, and the menstruation leads to regeneration of the endometrium. Using stem cell systems under healthy physiological conditions and in other gynecological circumstances, it may be possible to understand enhanced research on the molecular biology of endometrial stem cells and progenitor cells. This chapter discusses recent discoveries that have provided innovative methods to understand the origin of life and the inflammation associated with endometriosis stem cells, as well as resulting in new research directions that will likely increase the ability to detect endometriosis early and treat it efficiently." @default.
