- W4387239049 abstract "The gradation of binary mixed particulate materials has a considerable impact on their compressive strength and permeability. To investigate the effect of various gradations on compressive strength and permeability. Uniaxial compression tests and permeability tests were conducted, and simulation-based three-dimensional discrete element numerical models of five distinct binary mixed particulate materials with varying levels were developed. From the standpoint of mesoscopic contact force composition, the effect of coal gangue particle content (ωc) on the strength formation mechanism of binary mixed particle materials was studied. The results indicate that the compressive strength of binary mixed particles increases rapidly with increasing ωc, but the increase is not evident when ωc > 40 %. Moreover, the permeability increases as ωc increases under the same conditions. The grading of recommendation 2# (ωc = 40 %, ωb = 60 %) is optimal. Simulation yields a prescribed grade that is consistent with the test." @default.
