- W4387338995 abstract "This study has been designed to address the issue of gender inequality and discrimination experienced by women working in male-dominated sectors. The aim of the study is to determine the presence of gender diversity at the management level in male-dominated industries. Therefore, the perception regarding the participation of women in port management at the management level has been examined in port workplaces where men are predominantly employed. Three major ports located in the southern region of the Marmara area have been taken as samples, and a survey has been directed to white-collar employees working in these ports to reveal their perspective on female employees in the port sector. The research findings indicate that the majority of participants in the study have opposed the widely accepted notion that the sector is not suitable for women. The research findings are considered a positive and inspiring outcome that challenges dominant perceptions towards women in leadership positions at the management level." @default.
