- W4387377411 abstract "For greener and more sustainable offshore operations, the optimal design of a renewable energy hybrid power system for a tugboat was presented in this paper. Its working performance and cost were analyzed. The structure and daily operating characteristics of the hybrid system, including power distribution, energy capacity limitation, and state of charge (SOC), were studied through simulation modeling by MATLAB software. The total power of the hybrid power system was provided respectively from the solar PV, PEMFC, and battery. By analyzing the energy contribution from various renewable energy systems at different times and operating conditions, the daily electricity demand, hydrogen consumption, and costs of the tugboat were obtained. The integration of renewable power systems such as solar PV and PEMFC is an attractive solution for onboard power generation. Especially for the tugboat working in offshore operations, it can effectively reduce the pollutant emissions in areas such as coastal and inland ports where atmospheric pollutant emissions are controlled." @default.
