- W4387400577 abstract "The positioning system required for autonomous driving must be capable of providing accurate and consistent performance in various environments. Among the numerous positioning systems available, GNSS stands out as the primary system for estimating absolute position. With the increasing number of constellations in satellite navigation systems and the continuous development of error correction technologies, precise positioning technologies are also being actively developed within the private commercial sector. However, multipath errors caused by tall buildings in urban environments remain a significant challenge, leading to reduced stability in satellite navigation systems. This study proposes a method for estimating and compensating for multipath errors using measurements from GNSS receivers. Specifically, it estimates multipath errors through time-differential CMC measurements, demonstrating experimentally the potential for achieving precise positioning performance even in urban environments. These preliminary test results suggest that GNSS receivers alone can potentially provide location information with performance comparable to an open-sky environment, without the need for additional sensors or information. We hope that this proposed method can be applied in conjunction with systems requiring high-precision positioning performance, as well as for standalone GNSS navigation in urban environments." @default.
