- W4387455438 abstract "On behalf of the Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences (JPharmSci®) editorial team and the American Pharmacists Association, we would like to take this opportunity to thank the Guest Editors for their assistance in soliciting and selecting papers for the William J. Jusko Dedicated Issue of JPharmSci®. The Guest Editors were Dr. Ioannis P. Androulakis (Rutgers University); Dr. David Z. D'Argenio (University of Southern California); Dr. Justin C. Earp (Food & Drug Administration) Dr. Leonid Kagan (Rutgers University); Dr. Donald E. Mager (University at Buffalo, State University of New York); Dhaval K. Shah (University at Buffalo, State University of New York); Robert M. Straubinger (University at Buffalo, State University of New York); and Sukyung Woo (University at Buffalo, State University of New York). A very special thanks and recognition to Drs. Straubinger and Mager for serving as the Co-Lead Guest Editors and coordinating the development and finalization of this issue with the editorial office. The content of this issue is a great tribute to the significant contributions of Professor Jusko to the advancement of the pharmaceutical sciences and specifically in the area of pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic models and methods. The manuscripts submitted to the journal for this dedicated JPharmSci® issue are reflective of the very positive responses the guest editors received from their invitations to Professor Jusko's former graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, visiting scientists, research collaborators, colleagues and friends. Obviously, he is held in high regard around the world for his influences as both an exceptional educator and a researcher. We encourage you to read the commentary co-authored by Drs. Mager and Straubinger which highlights many of Professor Jusko's contributions, influences on the field and the students and colleagues who were part of his professional journey as an educator and researcher in the pharmaceutical sciences.
