- W4387501773 abstract "Traditional production systems have shifted from being single-site to decentralized multisite systems due to globalization. The Flow Shop scheduling problem has become a pioneer in producing easier and faster programs and sequences of operations with pre-determined resources and this is achieved through the exchange of information between resources, factories, jobs and machines which formed the Distributed Permutation Flowshop Scheduling Problem. Automation has become an integral part of practical manufacturing systems today, with all production phases being automated to a high degree. The human role has evolved into controlling the operation rather than the manual execution of activities. Worker function is a key factor in this context, and it is necessary to consider their workstation assignments given their different capacities and their learning effect. This paper systematically reviews academic literature on the Distributed Permutation Flowshop Scheduling Problem and Flow Shop with worker flexibility to classify and identify how human factors have an important role in workshop scheduling. Furthermore, the Distributed Permutation Flow Shop scheduling problem with worker flexibility is presented." @default.
