- W4387581808 abstract "In this paper, a novel composite sliding mode control (NCSMC) strategy based on the nonlinear extended state observer (NLESO) is proposed for permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) with unknown uncertainties, such as system uncertainties and disturbances. First, to suppress the chattering phenomenon, a modified sliding mode surface based on cotangent function is designed, then the proposed hybrid reaching law (HRL) is incorporated into it to obtain a shorter convergence time and weaker chattering. Second, to overcome the effect of the unknown uncertainties, a novel NLESO is suggested for feedforward compensation in the controller design. Moreover, to improve the transient performance of the system, the prescribed performance control (PPC) and adaptive dynamic surface (ADS) are developed in it. Based on these components, the designed control strategy not only can achieve high-precision control with minor chattering phenomenon, but can also asymptotically reach the system equilibrium point. Finally, the stability of the closed-loop system under the proposed control strategy is verified by Lyapunov function, and the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed control scheme have been validated through experimental studies on the motor drive system." @default.
