- W4387643486 abstract "Graphitic carbon nitride synthetized from melamine was treated in air and CO2 at temperatures varying from 500 to 600 °C for 2 and 6 h to fabricate a material with enhanced ability to photocatalytically produce H2 from water splitting. The materials were thoroughly characterized and H2 production was studied in a Pyrex reactor connected in-line with a Micro-GC. The results showed that the best HER (hydrogen evolution rate) were obtained in both atmospheres at a lower temperature with 6 h treatment rather than shorter treatments at higher temperatures. The thermal treatment produced an increase in surface area and band gap with a decrease in the crystallinity of the structure resulting in improved H2 production three times that of the bulk." @default.
