- W4387676422 abstract "This study examines the process of individuation of sandplay therapists through their educational analysis in the viewpoint of analytical psychology and theories of sandplay therapy based on Turner (2005)’s content themes. There are four research participants who complete 12 sessions or 20 sessions according to the standard of therapist qualification. Participant A deals with the recovery of femininity and works on masculinity during 12 sessions. Participant B shows the consciousness of shadow and the exploration of femininity and masculinity during 20 sessions. Participant C deals with the meeting of genuine self, the theme of rebirth, and the recovery of femininity during 12 sessions. Participant D shows the consciousness of shadow, the awareness of masculinity, and the recovery of femininity during 20 sessions. The results of this study are as follows. Research participants show the consciousness raising processes of the viewpoint of analytical psychology like clients who have chief complaints. First, the insight of shadow is not as strong as general clients are. Second, there are issues related to femininity. Participant A, B, & C examine their femininity through their mother. Third, there is the work on masculinity, animus. Except for participant A, three participants seem to show quite strong masculinity. Implications for educational analysis are suggested about the length of session and following guidance for therapist’s understanding of her/his psyche after educational analysis." @default.
