- W48294844 abstract "The compaction process causes an increase of the apparent density, accompanied by a decrease in the volume of air. The agricultural soilcompaction is in direct relationship with the size of the soilparticles, soil humidity, the handling processes and the soil bioticstate. For the handling and use of the agricultural soils, it isnecessary to know its conditions of humidity for a better employmentwithout causing unfavorable agricultural structural changes. The sandyor sandy loam soil is highly susceptible compaction, mainly in thesuperior layers. The process is influenced by the humidity and thecompaction energy product of the energizing mechanisms; especially, those originated by the mechanization and the contraction-expansionprocess. The general objective consisted on studying the compaction dewto energizing process with ends of appropriate handlings of two savannasoil. The specific objectives were: (a) To determine the compactionenergy (EC), the optimal dry apparent density (rS(optima)), the optimalcompaction humidity (woptima), the insitu dry apparent density(rS(insitu)), the optimal air volume (VVa(optima)), the relativecompaction (RC) and the optimal soil solidity (iS(optima)), (b)The correlations and implications in the mechanization processes andplants growth. Methodologically in each soil condition the compactionAASHO test was used, the saturation straight line were added to 100%,95% and 80%, the regression analysis to interpret the proportion of thevariation between the parameters of the regression curves and thevariance analysis and the test of the minimum significant difference.Among the results with EC of 16,49 kg*cm*cm-3 (1,62 MJ·m-3), itwas found: rS(optima) 1,736-1,832 g/cm3, woptima 8,74-11,65,rS(insitu) 1,582-1,749 g/cm3, VVA(optima) 13,74-15,70%, RC91,13-95,47% and iS(optima) 66,05-69,61%. On concluded, that theoptimal compaction soil water content was at or near the field capacityand below the plastic limit. The root development will always countswith air." @default.
