Temsili olarak Etimesgut, Macunkoy, Cuglu, Avdan ve Kazan yakinlarinda bes alan secilmis, bu alanlarda jeoteknik amacli ve kuyu ici sismik amacli sondajlar yapilmistir. Etimesgut, Macunkoy ve Kazanda aluvyon kalinligi en fazla 18.0 metre olup, altinda kalinligi sondajlarla belirlenemeyen Ust Pliyosen cokelleri yeralir. Cuglu ve Avdan’da 11.0 metre kalinliktaki aluvyon altinda yesil renkli Miyosen killeri mevcuttur. Sondaj sirasinda zeminlerin sikiligi veya kivami Standard Peneterasyon deneyleri ile belirlenerek ornekler alinmistir. Incelenen alanlarda yeralti suyu seviyesi 3.0 m ile 8.0 m arasinda degismektedir. Farkli zemin gruplarinin dogal su icerigi, yogunlugu, kohezyon ve icsel surtunme acisi ve konsolidasyon ozellikleri incelenerek siniflamalari yapilmistir. Kuvaterner aluvyon kahverenkli dusuk ve yuksek plastisiteli kil ve silt ile killi kum, siltli kum ile killi cakil siltli cakildan olusmaktadir Ust Pliyosen, koyu sari dusuk ve yuksek plastisiteli kil ve silt icerisinde killi ve siltli kum merceklerinden olusmaktadir. Miyosen cokelleri ise yesil renkli dusuk ve yuksek plastisiteli silt ile killi ve siltli kumdan olusmaktadir. Yuzey sismigi, ReMi ve kuyu ici sismigi ile zeminlerin P ve S dalga hizlari olculmus ve bu hizlara gore zeminler siniflandirilmistir. Zeminlerin yatay yer ivmesi degisimi derinlige bagli olarak hesaplanmistir. Ivmeler, farkli arastirmacilar tarafindan onerilmis olan azalim esitlikleri ile hesaplanan ivmelerle karsilastirilmistir. Quad4m programi ile iki boyutlu analizlerde 12 Kasim 1999 Duzce deprem esas alinmistir. Incelenen alanlarda ivme yuzeye ulasmadan azalmaktadir. Aluvyon icerisindeki pik ivmeler sivilasma analizlerinde kullanilmistir. Zeminlerde sivilasma tehlikesi farkli yontemlerle incelenmistir. Etimesgut ve Macunkoydeki kumlu zeminlerde birer noktada, Avdanda iki noktada sivilasma potansiyeli gorulmustur. Etimesguttaki uc noktada ince taneli zeminlerde sivilasma potansiyeli mevcuttur. AbstractIn this thesis study, the dynamic site response of the Quaternary aged alluvium transported by Ankara and Ova creeks, Upper Pliocene aged lacustrine deposits and Miocene aged clay deposits situated at the west of Ankara have been investigated through their geological, geotechnical and geophysical properties. Representative areas nearby Etimesgut, Macunkoy, Cuglu, Avdan and Kazan have been chosen for the study. Geotechnical boreholes and deep boreholes for downhole seismic survey have been drilled. Maximum thickness of the alluvium at Etimesgut, Macunkoy and Kazan is 10 m -18.0 m, overlying the Upper Pliocene deposits. Miocene aged clays take place beneath alluvium with a thickness of 11.0 m at Cuglu and Avdan. Standart Penetration Tests have been performed in order to determine the stiffness and consistency of the soils and to obtain samples.Groundwater level ranges between 3.0 and 8.0 m at the investigated areas. Natural water content, unit weight, cohesion, internal friction angle and consolidation properties of different soil types have been investigated and the soils were classified. Quaternary aged alluvium consists brownish clay and silt with low and high plasticity, clayey and silty sand and gravel. Upper Pliocene aged deposits contain light brown clay and silt with low and high plasticity, including silty and clayey sand lences. Miocene deposits are made up of greenish silt with low and high plasticity, clayey and silty sand. P and S wave velocities of the soils have been measured by seismic refraction, ReMi and down hole seismic survey methods, to be used for site classifications. Distribution of the horizontal peak acceleration values of the soils have been calculated with depth. Accelerations have been compared with the ones, that have been calculated by attenuation relationships offered by various authors. 12 November 1999 Duzce earthquake acceleration record has been used as input for the analysis performed by 2D QUAD4M software. The acceleration reduces towards ground level. The peak values of acceleration has been used for liquefaction evaluation. Liquefaction potential of the soils have been investigated by different methods. One borehole at Etimesgut and Macunkoy and two boreholes at Avdan have liquefaction potential. Liquefaction for silty soils is expected in three boreholes at Etimesgut." @default.
