- W487447306 abstract "Varroa destructor, bal arilarinin (Apis mellifera L.) en onemli parazitlerinden biridir. Bu arastirmada Iran bal arilarinin (Apis mellifera meda) Varroa destructor'e karsi direnc ozelliklerini arastirmak amaciyla, Iran'in Dogu Azerbaycan ilinin 5 farkli ilcesinden materyal olarak 60 bal arisi kolonisi ile Tebriz Universitesi Ziraat Fakultesi'nde deneme kurulmustur. Calismada; timarlama davranisi (TD), sir sokme ve petek gozu temizleme davranisi (SSPT) ve varroaya karsi duyarli hijyen davranisi (VDH) incelenmistir. Sonuclar kovanin dip tahtasina dusen varroa sayisinin, ari yogunlugu ve sirlanmis yavrulu petek gozlerinin sayisindan etkilenmemektedir. Kovanin dip tahtasina dusen varroa sayisi ile yavrularin varroa bulasikligi ve foretik varroa bulasikligi arasinda onemli korelasyon bulunmustur. Dondurularak oldurulen yavrulara karsi arilarin SSPT davranislariyla, yavru ve ergin arilarin varroa bulasikligi arasinda onemli negatif korelasyon bulunmustur. Yani SSPT ozelliginin yuksek duzeyde olmasi kolonideki varroa bulasigini azaltmaktadir. Arastirmada VDH ozelligi, petek gozlerindeki bulasikligin azalmasina dayanarak hesaplanmistir. Varroaya karsi duyarli hijyen davranisiyla yavrularin ve ergin arilarin bulasikligi arasinda negatif korelasyon bulunmasi, bulasik gozlerin arilar tarafindan temizlendigini gostermektedir. Arastirma gerceklesen kalitim derecesi hesaplama teknigine uygun deneme desenine gore yurutulmustur. Incelenen ozelliklere ait kalitim dereceleri, diger arastirmacilarin bulduklari ile uyum icerisindedir. Arastirma sonuclari varroaya karsi korunma ozelligi tasiyan bal arisi hatlarinin yetistirilebilecegini gostermektedir.AbstractThe parasitic mite, Varroa destructor, is a serious pest of honey bees, Apis mellifera L. To investigate the resistance ability of Iranian honeybees (Apis mellifera meda) against varroa, 60 honey bee colonies from five different regions of East Azarbayjan province were purchased and brought to the Agricultural Faculty of Tabriz University. The main objective of this study is to evaluate the resistance behavior of Iranian honey bees against varroa and the possibility of breeding the resistant bees. In the present study, grooming (GRO), hygienic (HYG) and varroa sensitive hygienic behaviors (VSH) individually and the combined effects have been studied. The results show that the number of adult bees and number of sealed brood will not affect the number of varroa mites falling on the hive bottom board. The correlation between the number of varroa mites falling on the hive bottom board with the number of mites in phoretic phase and the number of varroa infested brood was found significant. Results of correlation analysis indicate that hygienic behavior of bees against frozen brood is negatively and significantly correlated with the number of varroa in sealed brood and on adult bees. Thus the high frequencies of hygienic behavior reduce varroa infestation in the colony. In this study, VSH is investigated based on the reduction of brood infestation. A negative correlation between VSH behavior and the number of varroa in sealed brood and on adult bees indicated the cleaning of infested cells by bees and reducing varroa infestation. The experiment was designed to calculate the Realized Heritability of traits under study. The estimated heritabilties for traits under study are consistent with the findings of other researches. The results show that these heritable traits can possibly be used in order to breed honey bees lines with resistance ability against varroasis." @default.
