- W487588591 abstract "Bu calismada Kutahya Seyitomer bitumlu sisti ile dusukyogunluklu polietilenin (DYPE) inert atmosfer altinda es piroliz islemigerceklestirilmistir. Es piroliz sonuclari her bilesenin yalniz haldeki pirolizsonuclariyla karsilastirilmistir. Abstract In this study copyrolysis of Turkish Kutahya-Seyitomer oil shale and low density polyethylene (LDPE) under inert atmosphere is performed. The copyrolysis results are compared with the calculated values from pyrolysis results of each component. The study is aimed to find out possible synergistic effets on the yields of tars. Pyrolysis experiments were performed in various ratios of oil shale and LDPE [LDPE content of the mixture in 33 %, 50 %, 67 % (w/w)] and in the temperature range of 600 °C to 800 °C. The yields of gas, tar, water and residual coke for each temperature are calculated. The effects of Red Mud, Zeolite and Bentonite as catalysts on pyrolysis liquid were also studied. Tars obtained during the experiments are characterized by various spectroscopic and chromatographic techniques such as GC-MS and FTIR and the effect of experimental conditions on the formation of valuable products are determined. As expected the copyrolysis of oil shale and LDPE gave high percentage of tar yields. The experiments showed that the maximum tar yield is 34,3 % at 700 °C and 67 % of mix ratio, oil shale to LDPE. By adding zeolit as a catalyst in the optimum mix ratio and temperature the tar yield reached to 42,2 %. This shows that LDPE and zeolit acts as a hydrogen donor compound. In addition a remarkable synergetic effect was observed in the copyrolysis of oil shale and LDPE and this effect was improved by adding zeolit as a catalyst to the oil shale, LDPE mixture." @default.
