- W492777277 abstract "Bu tez calismasinda; pirimidinin iki ve uc halkali bazi yeni turevlerinin sentezi ve elde edilen bilesiklerin elektrokimyasal davranislarinin incelenerek yeni turevlerine donusturulebilme olasiliklari arastirilmistir. Arastirmanin ilk asamasinda; iki ve uc halkali pirimidinlerin sentezinde cikis maddesi olarak kullanilacak olan farkli pirimidin turevlerinin sentezi gerceklestirilmistir. Bu amacla, 1,3-dimetilpirimidin-2,4,6-(1H,3H,5H)-trion ile bazi alifatik aldehitlerin kondensasyon reaksiyonlari denenmis ve 5-alkiliden barbiturik asit turevleri elde edilmistir. Diger taraftan, aldehitlerin 6-amino-1,3-dimetilpirimidin-2,4-(1H,3H)-dion ile yapilan kondensasyon reaksiyonlarinin, 5-alkiliden ve/veya 6-alkilidenimino pirimidin turevleri yerine dipirimidin turevlerinin olusumuna yol actigi belirlenmistir. Bu calismalarin yanisira, 4-alliloksi ve 4-allilamino pirimidin gibi farkli pirimidin turevleri de sentezlenmistir. Calismanin ikinci asamasinda ise, bu alkiliden pirimidin, allil substitue pirimidin ve dipirimidin turevlerinin kimyasal ve elektrokimyasal olarak iki ve uc halkali yeni pirimidin turevlerine donusturulebilme olanaklari arastirilmistir. Bu calismalarin sonucunda, iki halkali pirimidin turevlerinden olan furo[2,3-d]pirimidinler basarili bir sekilde sentezlenmistir. Ayrica bu asamada, dipirimidin turevleri uc halkali yeni pirimidin turevlerine donusturulmustur. Son asamada ise, bu pirimidin turevlerinin elektrokimyasal reaksiyonlari donusumlu voltammetri ve preparatif elektroliz yontemleri kullanilarak da arastirilmistir. Tezde sentezlenen cogu pirimidin turevi yeteri kadar elektroaktif bulunmazken, furo[2,3-d]pirimidin turevleri elektrokimyasal olarak furan halkasi uzerinden anodik oksidasyonla turevlendirilmis ve 5-okso-furo[2,3-d]pirimidin turevlerinin sentezi gerceklestirilmistir. Sonuc olarak bu tez kapsaminda pirimidinin farkli iki ve uc halkali turevlerinin sentezi basarili bir sekilde gerceklestirilmistir. Elde edilen yeni bilesiklerin yapilari uygun spektral analiz yontemleri (IR, 1H-NMR, GC-MS ve element analizi) kullanilarak aydinlatilmistir. Abstract In this thesis, synthesis of bi- and tricyclic pyrimidine derivatives and electrochemical behaviours of these bi- and tricyclic pyrimidine derivatives have been investigated in order to find a possibility of these compounds to convert into the new pyrimidine derivatives. In the first part of the research, different pyrimidine derivatives which have been used as a starting material in order to synthesize bi- and tricyclic pyrimidine derivatives were synthesized. For this purpose, condensation reactions of 1,3-dimethylpyrimidine-2,4,6- (1H,3H,5H)-trione with some aliphatic aldehydes were carried out and 5-alkylidene barbituric acid derivatives were obtained. On the other hand, condensation reactions of aldehydes with 6-amino-1,3-dimethylpyrimidine-2,4-(1H,3H)-dione lead to the formation of dipyrimidine derivatives were determined instead of 5-alkylidene and/or 6-alkyliminopyrimidine derivatives. In addition to these studies, 4-allyloxy and 4-allylamino substituted pyrimidine derivatives have also been synthesized. In the second part of the research, possibility of converting alkylidenepyrimidines, allyl- substituted pyrimidines and dipyrimidine derivatives into new bi- and tricyclic pyrimidine derivatives have been investigated by chemical and electrochemical methods. As a result of these studies, bicyclic furo[2,3-d]pyrimidine derivatives have been synthesized succesfully. Moreover, in this stage, dipyrimidines have been converted into their corresponding tricyclic pyrimidines. Finally, electrochemical reactions of all these pyrimidine derivatives have also been investigated by using cyclic voltammetry and preparative electrolysis methods. Most of the obtained pyrimidine derivatives have not shown sufficent electroactivity. Only furo[2,3-d]pyrimidine derivatives have been functionalised on the furane rings by electrochemical anodic oxidation and 5-oxo-furo[2,3-d]pyrimidine derivatives have been succesfully synthesized. In conclusion, bi- and tricyclic pyrimidine derivatives were succesfully synthesized as proposed in this thesis. Structures of new compounds were characterized by appropriate spectroscopic methods (IR, 1H-NMR, MS and elemental analysis)." @default.
