This is a tooapproximate approach to state for the real position errordistributions. Therefore, the concept of an InstantaneousPseudo Range Error (IPRE) is defined and is implementedinto NAVSIM the DLR’s end to end GNSS simulator. Thisnew module coupled with the other modules of the simulatorpermit to lead complete End-to-End simulations. Thisnew functionality has the advantage to augment the field ofapplications and to couple the generation of errors alreadyimplemented in NAVSIM with error distributions comingfrom real measurements. This study is a good first approachto compare constellations between each other regardingthe accuracy issue. The IPRE concept multipliesthe functionalities thanks to its ability to generate real distributionsof errors. The application to a combined existingconstellation (GPS) for which real measurements canbe used with a not yet existing constellation (GALILEO)for which only simulated data can be used is an interestingapproach. These results can directly be used to test theimpact of correction models, of filtering techniques, of antennatypes to a combined GPS/GALILEO system thanksto the time series of IPRE and the instantaneous individualerrors output from NAVSIM. The best strategy of error mitigationtechnique can be tested and the result can be usedfor receiver design before the launch of GALILEO system." @default.
