Application of N as 50% basal +25% top dressing at 30 DAS +25%foliar spray at 60 DAS (S4) recorded significantly higher nitrogen uptake by grains and stoverthan other treatments except 50% basal + 25% top dressing at 30 DAS + 25% foliar spray at 45DAS (S3). Nitrogen content in grains and stover were increased in the treatment except thetreatment 50% basal + 25% foliar spray at 30 DAS + 25% foliar spray at 60 DAS (S5) as comparedto other treatments of 50% basal + 25% top dressing at 30 DAS + 25% foliar spray at 45 DAS (S3)and 50% basal +25% top dressing at 30 DAS +25% foliar spray at 60 DAS (S4). The interactioneffect revealed that N@ 120 ha-1 applied as 50% basal +25% top dressing at 30 DAS +25% foliarspray at 60 DAS (N3S4) recorded maximum grain yield and nitrogen uptake by grains as comparedto rest of the treatment combinations, while the highest nitrogen content of grain was recordedunder treatment combination 120 kg N ha-1 applied as 50% basal + 25% top dressing at 30 DAS+ 25% foliar spray at 45 DAS (N3S3), which was on par with N@ 120 kg ha-1 as applied as 50%basal +25% top dressing at 30 DAS +25% foliar spray at 60 DAS (N3S4)." @default.
