- W564752014 abstract "The trucking industry is beginning to use psychological tests to predict drivers' productivity and aid retention as well as identify potential risk problems. The tests also provide managers with information they can use to develop the potential of newly hired drivers. Resource Analysis, an industrial psychological consulting firm, conducted a nationwide, six month driver study using their Driver Analysis test. The study showed that drivers hired with the Driver Analysis system produced the following reductions: 21% in fuel consumption; 18% in maintenance costs; 36% in turnover; and 40% in safety-related incidents. This article discusses the experience of Arthur H. Fulton Incorporated with the Driver Analysis test. An insert with this article presents information on two other testing options." @default.
