Thermal annealing enables crystallization of the polymer and diffusion of the PC70BM molecules. Diode parameters, such as the barrier height ϕb and the ideality factor n were calculated. They were found to be depend strongly on the annealing temperature. This dependence is attributed to surface states, inhomogeneity in the material and series resistance. Best OPV devices had a short circuit current density of 3.35 mA/cm2, an open circuit voltage of 0.68 V, a fill factor of 0.45, and a power conversion efficiency of 2.2%, by applying a thermal annealing temperature of 150 °C for 10 min." @default.
