In einer Studie wurde die Wirksamkeit dieser Massnahme untersucht. Neben dem bekannten Mittelungspegel LAeq wurden vor allem Haeufigkeitsverteilungen von Pegelklassen ermittelt. Bei allen Messungen konnte die relative Haeufigkeit der besonders stoerenden Pegelklassen ueber 65 dB(A) durch die Beschraenkung der Hoechstgeschwindigkeit drastisch reduziert werden. Die Laestigkeit des Geraeuschs nahm deutlich wahrnehmbar ab. Bei einer Verringerung der tatsaechlich gefahrenen Geschwindigkeiten von nur 10 km/h wurde fuer den Dauerschallpegel eine Reduktion von 2 dB gemessen. Eine Minderung von 4 dB kann prognostiziert werden, wenn die gefahrenen Geschwindigkeiten tatsaechlich um 20 km/h reduziert wuerden. Ergaenzend wurden Vorbeifahrtmessungen mit verschiedenen Fahrzeugtypen durchgefuehrt. Eine Geschwindigkeitsreduktion von 50 auf 30 km/h bewirkte eine Absenkung der Einzelereignispegel um etwa 5 dB und der maximalen Pegel um 7 bis 8 dB. (A) ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH: In 2010, the maximum permitted vehicle speed on federal roads between 10 am and 6 pm was reduced from 50 km/h to 30 km/h in the city of Jena. The aim of this measure was to decrease the nighttime noise immission. In the present study, the efficiency of this measure was investigated by the University of Applied Sciences Jena. In addition to the well-known averaging sound pressure level LAeq, the frequency distributions of level classes were determined. For all measurements the relative frequency of the particularly disturbing level classes above 65 dB(A) were drastically reduced by the lower maximum permitted vehicle speed. The annoyance of the noise was significantly decreased by this measure. By the reduction of the vehicle speed of only 10 km/h instead of 20 km/h in reality, the average of the continuous sound pressure level was reduced by 2 dB. A reduction of 4 dB can be predicted, if the real vehicle speed will be decreased by 20 km/h. Additionally, measurements of the pass-by noise were carried out with different types of vehicles. As a result, the reduction of the maximum vehicle speed from 50 km/h to 30 km/h results in a lower single event sound pressure level of nearly 5 dB and a lower maximum level of 7 to 8 dB.
