Der Text zeigt unter Verweis auf drei beispielhaft angefuhrte Falle, dass Interessenvertretungen versuchen, durch den strategischen Einsatz und Einbezug von Medien neue Handlungsressourcen abseits betrieblicher Pfade zu gewinnen. Es wird argumentiert, dass sich vor dem Hintergrund der bundesrepublikanischen Sozialpartnerschaft ein Normenzusammenhang herausgebildet hat (das Normalarbeitsverhaltnis), dessen Verletzung von Arbeitnehmerseite unter bestimmten Bedingungen genutzt werden kann, um Leiharbeitsverhaltnisse offentlichkeitswirksam zu skandalisieren und so Einfluss auf die Ausgestaltung von Erwerbsverhaltnissen zu gewinnen. ----- ‘Played on the Rebound’. While pressure on workers’ representatives increases, alternative modes of interest representation also gain significance. Drawing on empirical research in three cases, the article shows how works councils acquire new options to transcend the company-internal arena. We argue that against the background of stable employment conditions within a constellation of social partnership, precarious relationships of contract work can gain traction by drawing attention to their plight by the strategic use of media. By referring to this option, works councils can put pressure on their management to regulate such employment relationships with the worker’s interest in mind.
