- W578914424 abstract "Highway bridges are designed for a predefined vehicular configuration. i.e. vehicle. Only in rare cases is more than one vehicle used in the design process as the primary loading. A two-pronged investigation was initiated, one dealing with bridges with prestressed concrete I-beams, and the other with steel girders. In both studies simple span bridges without skew were considered. The study on steel girder bridges included 50 foot and 90 foot span lengths. Due to the extensive results from the steel bridge study and the space limitations, this paper will cover only the results obtained from the prestressed concrete bridges." @default.
