- W586761908 abstract "To study the effects of zinc and protein interaction on growth performance and some blood biochemical indices in weaned piglets, forty-eight (21 ± 2)-day-old weaned D × L × Y pigs were randomly allocated to 6 treatments with 4 replicates in each treatment of 2 pigs per replicate according to weight using a 2 × 3 two-factors experiment design. The six treatments were high protein (23%) with low zinc (100 mg/kg) group, middle protein (20%) with low zinc group, low protein (17%) with low zinc group, high protein with high zinc (3 000 mg/kg) group, middle protein with high zinc group, low protein with high zinc group, respectively. The results showed that the interaction of zinc and protein significantly improved average daily gain (ADG) (P0. 05), and decreased ratio of feed to gain (F/G) of the weaned piglets (P0. 05). ADG in high protein with high zinc group which was the highest was 357 g (P0. 01 or P0. 05), and F/G in high protein with high zinc group which was the lowest was 1. 67 (P0. 01 or P0. 05). From day 1 to day 14 of the experiment, total protein (TP) and albumin (ALB) in high protein with high zinc group were higher compared with other groups (P0. 01). From day 1 to day 14 of the experiment, effects of zinc on GSH-Px and SOD were significant (P0. 01). IgA, IgG and IgM in high protein with high zinc group were higher compared with those in other groups (P0. 01 or P0. 05). It was concluded that the interaction of zinc and protein could enhance the growth performance, oxidation resistance and immunity, and the group of optimal effect was high protein with high zinc group, and effects of zinc were obvious in the first two weeks after weaning." @default.
