- W590597027 abstract "Mitsubishi Advanced Safety Vehicle (ASV) employs many advanced safety functions, particularly collision warning and automatic collision avoidance. These autonomous functions require highly sophisticated outside sensing and recognition technologies. This paper describes the lane- and obstacle-sensing and recognition system of the ASV. The objective of the system is to discern the arrangement of the obstacles around the ASV, called the world model. The sensor fusion system for detection of surroundings consists of two lane-detecting cameras, two scanning laser radar, six passive trigonometric-type sensors, and three stereo cameras. The recognition system is composed of three modules -- the obstacle recognition module, the lane recognition module, and the world model recognition module." @default.
