- W592525349 abstract "The elasticity modulus is the important mechanics index and design parameter of graded curshed stone, whose value needs to be determined by middle-type dynamic triaxial tests. In this paper, the non-linear models of the dynamic and static moduli of graded crushed stone are put forward, through the comparative study between dynamic and static triaxial tests in the laboratory, in which the moduli vary with stress states. The relationship between the two models is given, which can be used to approximately gain the values of dynamic elasticity moduli by using easily available static elasticity moduli. Through the study in this paper, the following conclusions are drawn: (1) the elasticity moduli of the graded crushed stone, which are proposed in current specifications, do not take the non-linear characteristics of graded crushed stone into consideration, therefore are not reasonable, and deviate a little far from the practical situation; (2) reasonable elasticity moduli of graded crushed stone should be determined by adopting laboratory dynamic triaxial tests, the dynamic stresses applied should have the characteristics of dynamic loads on roads as far as possible; (3) the comparative study between dynamic and static elasticity moduli shows that there is better linear correlative relationship between the two models; (4) the elasticity moduli are proposed to be 400-500 MPa while graded crushed stone is used for the basecourse materials of conventional high-graded asphalt pavements, and 250-300MPa is suitable in the sub-bases." @default.
