- W59707574 abstract "A method is developed for calculating the degree of conversion during the synthesis of ammonia in a continuous flow, tubular reactor, taking longitudinal diffusion into account. Such a calculation shows that the available data in the literature on the rate of ammonia synthesis at low temperatures in a tubular reactor agree with the rate equation based on the idea that the predominant intermediate substance is adsorbed ammonia (and not imide). The seeming conflict between this idea and the ratio of the rates of synthesis of ammonia and deuteroammonia at low temperatures is explained." @default.
