Concrete samples of six different mixing proportions with different silica fume contents and different water to cementitious materials ratios are prepared and then placed in three different exposure conditions in the Persian Gulf and Tehran for three years. The results show that an increase in water to cementitious materials ratio (W/CM) leads to increasing carbonation depths. It is also observed that the effect of silica fume on the carbonation of concrete is related to the W/CM ratio." @default.
