Foram selecionados 20 voluntários, 6 homens e 14 mulheres, assintomáticos, completamente dentados, com padrão oclusal classe I de Angle e faixa etária entre 20‐30 anos de idade. Após anamnese e exame clínico foram submetidos a moldagens e seus modelos montados em articulador semiajustável. Sobre os modelos, foram confeccionados os dispositivos de registro intraoral, os quais foram posicionados na boca para a obtenção do traçado do arco gótico, utilizando‐se como referência o vértice do mesmo para a obtenção da posição de retrusão máxima. Após a obtenção das tomografias, os dados obtidos foram tabulados e submetidos a análise estatística pelos testes de frequência, ANOVA two way e T, com nível de significância de 5%. Em retrusão máxima, o posicionamento posterior dos côndilos foi o encontrado com maior frequência e em máxima intercuspidação, o central. Houve diferenças significantes entre as 2 posições estudadas bilateralmente (p < 0,0001). Não houve diferenças do deslocamento condilar entre os lados direito e esquerdo (p = 0,43). A média de deslocamento do lado direito foi 0,68 mm (± 0,33 mm) e do lado esquerdo 0,69 mm (± 0,32 mm). Não houve diferença entre os espaços articulares posteriores durante o deslocamente entre as posições, bilateralmente. As 2 posições mandibulares estudadas determinaram posições distintas dos côndilos em suas respectivas fossas mandibulares. Evaluate by linear sagital corrected tomography in patients Angle's Class I, the condylar position in maximum intercuspation and maximum retrusion position, obtained by the technique of Gothic arch of Gysi and the differences between them. There were selected 20 volunteers, 6 men and 14 women, asymptomatic, with complete dentition and Angle's Class I. After anamnesis and clinical examination they were submitted to dental impressions and its casts mounted in a semi‐ajustable articulator. Intraoral record devices were made on the casts and were placed in the mouth for obtaining the Gothic arch tracing, using as reference the vertex for the maximum retrusion position. Tomographic scans were made in maximum intercuspation and maximum retrusion position, determined by the vertex of the Gothic arch tracing. After the results of the tomography scans, data was submitted to statistical analysis by means the Frequency Test, Two way ANOVA and T test, with a significance of 5%. In maximum retrusion position, the posterior position was found more frequently and in maximal intercuspation the central position. There were diferences between the two studied positions bilaterally (p < 0.0001). There were no diferences in the condilar displacement in both sides (p = 0.43). The medium displacement for the right side was 0.68 mm (± 0.33 mm) and the left side 0.69 mm (± 0.32 mm). There were no significant differences when the joint spaces were compared bilaterally. The two studied positions determined distinct positions of the condyles in its respectives mandibular joints." @default.
