Myers used on-line technology to expand models of collaboration, and extend the debate surrounding the politics of authorship, subjectivity and cultural difference. In particular it made a contribution to models of collaboration and interactivity.Julie's Weekend was commissioned by The Arts Council of England and DA2 (a digital funding agency) in Bristol. It was also exhibited at: ‘A History of Web Cinema', Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art - Helsinki – 02; Hong Kong Biennial – 02; DA2/Watershed - Bristol – 02Artists screenings and talks were given at Hong Kong Biennale (2002); Sierre School of Art, Switzerland (2002); First Site Gallery, Colchester (2002); British Film Institute, London (2002); The Academy of Fine Art, Prague (2004) 500 DVD copies were produced and distributed through DA2.The total budget for Julie's Weekend funded by The Arts Council of England and DA2 was £9,000.
