- W62818150 abstract "This paper introduces a new technique to controlspacecraft maneuvers. The new technique is based uponusing neuro-fuzzy approach to predict the requiredcontrol torque, using a modelless-strategy, for attitudeand rate tracking subjected to torque constraints. TheNeuro-Fuzzy Controller (NFC) is built up using theAdaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) whichtransforms a fuzzy controller into an adaptive network totake the advantage of all the neural network controltechniques proposed in the literature. First, the inversedynamics of the spacecraft is developed by training theANFIS with specified states such as Euler angles and theangular velocities. These data can be collected via directmeasurements, estimators, or simulation using attitudepropagators. Second, three types of controllers aredeveloped, started with a Single Level NFC (SLNFC) toa Multi Level NFC (MLNFC) and ended by a HybridController. The configuration of the first and secondcontrollers depends on the structure of the data used inthe training phase. While, the hybrid controller utilizesthe NFC in general to solve the problem of large anglesattitude tracking in the absence of the system model andbrings the system to a steady state with relatively smallerrors then, it switches to either a classical or a moderncontroller to refine the steady state errors. Finally, eachone of them is tested against two different controllersbelonging to classical and modern control approaches forthe purpose of performance evaluation. The first one is aclassical PD controller using quaternion feedback, andthe other is a Non-Linear Predictive controller (NLP)which is developed to predict the required control actionto track a certain trajectory under rate and torqueconstraints. The developed controllers have shown acompetitive performance to that of classical one and thesimulation results give neuro-fuzzy control approach anedge over the modern control approaches specially whenconsidering the hard constraint of a modelless spacecraft." @default.
