• W628328591 abstract "The Development of Assessment Project for Future Imagination on The Future Career Abstract Based on the theory of future imagination and combined with principles of performance assessment, the assessment project and its relevant scaffolding facilitation are developed. Four facets of future imagination are included in this project as followings: Exploring the probable futures, Imagining the possible futures, Selecting the preferred futures, Creating the prospective futures. Scaffolding facilitation is used in the facets of Imagining the possible futures and Selecting the preferred futures, including idea objects, group brainstorming, inspiring cards for imagination, peer feedback, and self-reflection. Participants in this study are 27 fifth-grade students in Taipei City. My future career is chosen as the theme, integrated with Integrative Activities Learning Area and Career Development Education. The results are as follows: I. Based on the assessment model of this research, the project was developed and can be used to assess students’ abilities of the future imagination and the Integrative Activities learning area. With the scaffolding facilitation and other inspiring activities, students’ abilities of future imagination are effectively performed. However, the use of inspiring cards for imagination, the fast-forwarding activity, and perspective changing activity still need improvement. II. The reliability and validity of the assessment project is acceptable after analysis. III. The qualitative analysis of student’s works indicated that most of them took “Convenient Life” as their core value. Also, personal life experience and the content of the comic and cartoon can be found in students’ works. In general, students’ future imagination tended to be improved manifested. IV. Difficulties and solutions of the implementation of the assessment project are as follows. The difficulties of using and realizing the inspiring cards can be reduced through practices and teacher’s explanations. Group restructuring can help improve feedback quality. Keyword recording and adjustment in writing proportion can help prevent students’ writing fatigue. Based on the conclusions above, the researcher made recommendations." @default.
