- W628454924 abstract ": In light of economic impacts, research into the means for improving building material durability when exposed to cyclic temperature variations is being conducted. Deterioration under the action of freezing is a very complex phenomenon and depends on several factors acting in unison. This study focuses on the freeze-thaw durability of cement-rubber composites, through the use of two types of rubber aggregate of different elasticity and morphology, hence leading to the successful reuse of rubber wastes. The volume ratio of the rubber aggregates ranged from 0% to 40%. Results comparing the material's resistance to freezing for both aggregates have indicated the importance of the alveolar nature and the elasticity of rubber aggregates as regards material durability.
