- W632929766 abstract "This paper describes fatigue tests conducted for specimens consisting of a concrete slab and cross-beam connections taken from iron Japanese highway bridges. The tests were intended to investigate the effects of connection details between main girder flange and concrete slab on the cracking at cross-beam connections. The cracks always occurred at the cross-beam connections with stud shear connectors, regardless of their number and arrangement. They also occurred at the cross-beam connections with slab anchors. Reduction of the local stresses which govern the cracks can be secured by removing the stud shear connectors and slab anchors from the cross-beam connections. For the covering abstract see IRRD 864118." @default.
