- W69871052 abstract "Abstract Polycristalline silicoaluminophosphates of SAPO-11 type were synthesized with variable Si/(Al+P) ratios. The amount of Si in the samples after synthesis (SYN form) and calcination (CAL form) was in the range x = 0 to 4 per unit cell with the general formula H x Si x Al 20 P 20-x O 80 . X-ray investigations have shown that the calcination increased the cristallinity of the samples. The variations of the unit cell volume with the Si amount were too low to allow to draw straight forward conclusions concerning the actual insertion of silicon into the framework, all the more the XPS data showed that part of Si was located at the surface presumably as an amorphous silica layer. The samples as observed by TPDA experiments and Py adsorption exhibited a Lewis acidity of medium strength which resulted in poor catalytic properties. All samples were inactive in n-hexane cracking and active in methanol conversion with low selectivity in hydrocarbons with respect to dimethyl ether. They were active and relatively stable in isopropanol dehydration and double shift bond isomerization of 1-butene." @default.
