- W74603197 abstract "An abiotic leaf spot disease (PLS) in winter wheat damages leaves causing dark-brown necrotic spots due to active oxygen species. Occurrence, etiology and effects of those PLS were investigated with different methods and under various environmental conditions in field and greenhouse experiments on diverse wheat cultivars. For that purpose in vivo scoring of PLS was performed and fast chlorophyll fluorescence were measured on leaves by use of the HandyPea fluorimeter. The observed fluorescence signal allows a detailed insight into photosynthetic processes, an important source of active oxygen species. In vitro biochemical extractions and activities of several antioxidative enzymes were examined to verify the results obtained by HandyPea. The effects of fungicide applications, ozone- and different light treatments to reduce the PLS were acquired in greenhouse experiment." @default.
