This paper maintains that education has a normative dimension which is negated or blurred by technol- ogies. It discusses the impact of these technologies on traditional pedagogy and argues on the dangers of replacing the traditional face to face encounter in teaching and learning, limitations these technologies in the philosophy of edu- cation.
