Theobjective of research are: 1) to describe the forest resources in Wonosadi Forest,2) to determine the socio-economic conditions of society Beji Village, 3) toknowing the type of management, functions, authorities, and government policyof Beji Village, Gunungidul Regency Government, and Forestry Ministry in thestudy of conservation of Wonosadi Forest, and 4) to determine the perceptions ofstakeholders.Primary data cover: socio-economic and cultural, stakeholderâ��s perception,and the form of forest management. Secondary data consists of diversity of florafaunaand population of Beji Village. Data collection technique were byinterview, observation, documentation, and through questionnaires (goals 2 and4). Data were analyzed using descriptive and Analytical Hierarchy Process foroptimal management and conservation strategies Wonosadi Forest.There are more than 107 tree species, 8 species of orchids, 30 medicinalplants, and various species of fauna in the Wonosadi Forest. Socio-economicconditions of respondent are farmers by profession a double 53%, 20% of farmers,farm laborers 17%, and 10% self employed. Average income are Rp 722,000.00per month. Concession of Wonosadi Forest developed based on alignments to thepublic, the government as a facilitator, and the Forestry Ministry role as the partyof forestry development. Sustainability should consider priorities and strategies toenhance effective management and embrace for all stakeholders. WonosadiForestâ��s conservation priorities strategy are to manage the environment,production management, the borders of protected areas, information onendangered species and their habitats, social relationships whose parallel,participation, the division of authority, granting benefits to the community forest,and economic resources that support the need of community." @default.
