Racemic (4-Benzyl-3-oxo-morpholin-2-yl)-acetic acid methyl ester ((R)/(S)-1) was firstly synthesized in one-pot. Objective (R)-4 was synthesized by amidation and reduction/aminolysis. The structures of the title compounds were characterized by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR techniques.
