- W80662191 abstract "A Health Profile is a quantitative and qualitative description of citizens health and the factors that influence their health status. Defining a Health Profile requires a meticulous and deep knowledge and analysis of community’s resources and needs.Aim of this study is to define the methodology and to build a city’s Health Profile in order to promote community’s health. Specific objects were: to outline a description, both quantitative and qualitative, of Padua’s citizens health status and of factors influencing it, to describe data flows, to experience an active interaction between different stake-holders and to involve citizens in defining population’s health profile.Quantitative analysis has been performed collecting and processing health indicators previously used by WHO Healthy Cities Project and other indicators that helped to better define city health status. A community network has been build promoting an active participation of subjects involved in health services and actions. Citizens were asked to express their perception in respect of various determinants of health. The methodology and the new tools we designed and used were found to be effective. The Health Profile realized is the first step to define a next-to-come Health integrated Plan, a governance tool. In this view, beside the results of health indicators, useful was to describe the status of community network and its ability to answer to the needs of various sub-groups of citizens." @default.
