- W808766800 abstract "This study is part of a GMAW-P welding research program at a pulsed way in structural steel. It has as the objective to evaluate the mechanical properties, specifically the mechanical resistance, the tenacity to the impact and hardness of joints welded by the mentioned process with variations in the peak power, peak time and in the thermal treatment temperature of pre-heating. The welding procedure forecasts the achievement of welds in two steps with bevel in X, bend of 60°, prepared stripes of the high resistance structural steel and low bind ARBL, denominated COS-AR 50 with 16 mm of thickness. The addition material to be used is an electrode of AWS E70C-6 metallic soul, diameter 1,2 mm, associated to the gas protection of CO2. After the achievement of the tests, the results will be correlated with the microstructures developed in both weld metal ( WM ) and in the heat affected zone (ZAC).
