- W81939355 abstract "Publisher Summary The method of mathematical modeling of control systems is widely used primarily for the explanation of the circulation, respiration, and the motor and temperature control mechanisms. Modeling does not end at the boundaries of biocybernetics. The system-oriented approach and the possibility of comprising the whole system largely contributed to physiology; the control system-oriented description can many times provide accurate and detailed information about the whole. Physiologists are, however, also interested in the individual components and sub-mechanisms and such a type of knowledge can facilitate the investigation of the whole as well. Mathematical modeling gained the greatest success where it attempted to discover the physical and chemical origin of the physiological processes. One of the main reasons for this is that in this case, it is possible to use complete and well-elaborated tools." @default.
