- W82485277 abstract "SUMMARY AND CONCLUSION The study has focused on academic use of mobile technology within a classroomenvironment through a longitudinal study that was conducted over 18 months, anadapted action-learning framework, originally proposed by Revans (1980), modified byMarquardt (2009) to include “reflection,” and in our study further adapted to include“feedback” in order to provide the theoretical framework for the study. It is apparentthat the additional component of feedback provides a strong foundation for developinga practical framework for sharing and developing better teaching practices.Although the seven key principles for introducing and using mobile technology inthe classroom might seem obvious, it is evident that, when introducing mobile technologyinto educational environments, there clearly needs to be a substantive support mechanismalready in place for academics to engage with. These principles have been used to goodeffect in a second study that has recently concluded, and the results are promising. Infollowing the guidance from the key principles highlighted here, our preliminary resultsfrom a different cohort of six academics using mobile technology strongly suggest clear" @default.
